Useful by Design
We focus on services people can understand and use in daily life.
Alpitos brings people together to build, improve, and use services that solve real problems. We focus on simple ideas, useful tools, and community-led growth.
The idea
Alpitos is a developer community and ecosystem focused on promoting Indian IT infrastructure for the needs of Indians, while supporting Indian knowledge, culture, and languages.
We believe that in 2026, India should be able to build, run, and regulate more of its own software systems. Our view is that Indian public information circulation should be supported by capable local infrastructure instead of relying too heavily on foreign platforms.
As AI systems grow and social media networks expand, preserving Indian knowledge systems has become more important than ever. Without focused effort, local knowledge, languages, and culture can gradually lose visibility in the digital world.
To support this vision, Alpitos aims to develop and maintain practical utilities such as social media platforms, video services, and other open-source digital tools. These applications are meant to strengthen India's ability to depend more on its own software infrastructure over time.
